DEFINITION

Indonesia is one of the countries with the greatest biodiversity in the world. Indonesia is also home to the third largest tropical forest in the world and one of the countries with the longest coastline in the world. The enormous natural potential that Indonesia has is one of the infinite riches that Indonesia has. Despite this enormous potential, Indonesia is also very vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.

For this reason, KEMITRAAN is involved in mitigating and adapting to climate change. We help prepare the institutional landscape in order to realize sustainable development through inter-institutional collaboration. KEMITRAAN also actively contributes to opening and promoting new forms of environmental funding.

We are also actively involved in providing support for sustainable development at the lowest level of government, namely in villages and coastal communities. Efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change are of course supported by technology to strengthen data collection to support broader climate and economic governance.
