DEFINITION

Since its founding in 2000, KEMITRAAN has been actively involved in reforming law in Indonesia. KEMITRAAN was also directly involved in the formulation of the Law on the Establishment of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Where eradicating corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) became the main reform agenda in 1998.


Not only that, KEMITRAAN has also been actively involved in reforming the police and prosecutor’s office since the 1998 reforms began. One of them is through the separation of the police and TNI. Meanwhile, reform in the prosecutor’s office was brought about through the formation of the Prosecutor’s Commission. Post-Reformation, we are also still involved in police reform efforts. One of them is through the preparation of the Police Governance Index in 2015.

 

KEMITRAAN was born from the womb of democracy which aims to create the supremacy of law and a government free of corruption. Therefore, until now, KEMITRAAN is still actively involved in anti-corruption programs. Therefore, until now, KEMITRAAN is still actively involved in anti-corruption programs. A program that focuses on preventing corruption by collaborating with the government, private sector and society.
